Israel-Hezbollah conflict: Beirut suburbs hit by new Israeli airstrikes; casualties soar to 2,800

Beirut (Lebanon): Middle East remains ensnared in the crossfire of the Israel vs ‘Triple-H’ conflict. Israel launched fresh airstrikes at early hours of November 01 on Beirut’s southern suburbs. The airstrikes damaged residential buildings and this counts as first strikes there in nearly a week. The strikes follow a year-long conflict between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah. Hostilities intensified recently after Hezbollah targeted Israeli sites in support of Hamas in Gaza. The conflict has dramatically escalated over the past 5 weeks, with Lebanon’s health ministry reporting 2,800 deaths in this period. The escalation mirrors Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza, increasing tensions in Middle East.
