In Natyashastra, a heroine or the nayika is depicted in various ways.. There arer 8 types of Nayikas. One such nayika is 'Abhisarika' wherein she is a daring heroine who breaks all the conventions and runs secretly to see her lover.


In this song, the nayika or the gopika says, ' O Krishna, pl come with me to the gardens to play? Just look there, how rhythemically the yamuna river is flowing..see those blooming flowers, the romantic tune of those birds..

In the dance , the nayika tries to grab the attention of Krishna by tinkling her bangles, making sounds from her gungroo, etc..
