The report - hurriedly compiled while full details were still breaking - was broadcast on either BBC1 or BBC2 between Argentina's June 30th group stage defeat to Bulgaria and memorable last-16 encounter with Romania on July 3rd; the team's fortunes would ultimately flounder in tandem with those of its spiritual talisman.
