Around 10 years ago, I was in the throes of suicidal ideation and depression.

The first song, I wrote from a place of deep pain. I knew God loved me, but pain eclipsed my understanding of His love. Fast forward:

I got healed and delivered in 2016, and had to fight the spirits of death and depression a couple times when they tried to come back.

The second song presents what I have since learned. It's the maturing beauty of not only embracing life, but embracing dying to self in this life. It is growing past God's miraculous hand saving me from myself wanting to die, but now saving me from myself in COMMANDING that I die (to the flesh).

And thus, he brings forth new life.

These 2 songs bring forth a glimpse of the journey to embrace such a beautiful trade.
