2024 Audi SQ8 E-Tron Gets Big Range

Audi E-Tron enthusiasts must be experiencing a mix of confusion and excitement with the 2024 model unveiling. The familiar E-Tron has now become the Q8 E-Tron, but the good news is that it brings a substantial increase in range. Thanks to revised battery cell chemistry and structure, the SQ8 E-Tron now offers nearly 20% more range, resulting in a significantly improved driving experience.

The 2023 E-Tron S was capable of 212 miles (EPA standards), while the 2024 SQ8 E-Tron is rated to 253 miles. The 253-mile rating is with the standard 20-inch rims; spinning the optional 22s will drop the maximum range to just 218 miles.

The SQ8 E-Tron boasts impressive power with its electric motors on both the front and rear axles, enabling torque vectoring for better handling and traction. With a total output of 496 horsepower and 718 pounds-feet of torque, the SQ8 E-Tron can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, making it an exhilarating electric SUV.

In terms of visuals, the SQ8 E-Tron stands out with its silver accents, metallic trim, and wider stance, accentuated by the fender flares. Inside, the luxury continues with standard leather seats, carbon-square trim, and advanced features like four-zone climate control and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The SQ8 E-Tron is expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2023, and prices start at $90,995 for the SQ8 E-Tron and $93,795 for the SQ8 E-Tron Sportback (including $1,195 destination). Audi's latest offering promises an even more satisfying electric driving experience, capturing the hearts of EV enthusiasts everywhere.
