Описание к видео Make A Game In Unity With No Experience #1: Movement

Hi! Let's try making a game and not having a miserable time trying! Some important links and notes:

Playlist:    • Make A Game In Unity With No Experience

Please let me know in the comments how the pace is for you! Too slow, too fast? Anything you're fuzzy on?

I'll be doing these tutorials when I have time, so there's no fixed schedule. They'll all be free, no ads, and we'll only use free software.

We're using Unity version 2018.4 - any version starting with that will work, and you can find it here: https://unity3d.com/unity/qa/lts-rele...
I'll also link directly to the exact version I downloaded just in case that helps: https://download.unity3d.com/download...
I picked this because at time of writing, it's latest 'long term support' version, which means it should be available for a long time. Versions within about a year of that one will likely be similar enough to follow along, but no promises.

If you're asked, you want the Invididual, Personal edition not the Business, Professional one - unless you're using it for a business making over $100k.

Here's the project folder as of the end of this tutorial - if you had trouble, you can download this, unzip it somewhere, and open it in Unity to compare. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hIe... (click download icon in the top right)

If you do have a problem, I'm afraid I can't offer one-on-one support, so it's not worth contacting me about it. Check my version of the project - if that doesn't work either, something's up with your install or PC and I wouldn't know how to fix that. I'm not smart. If it does work but yours doesn't, there must be a difference between them, and again I'm not really best placed to figure that out. DO tell me if you're finding the tutorials too hard or too easy though, I'll be adjusting as we go.

I literally cannot stop swearing, but I will at least bleep it after - some folks asked for this with my last tutorial so they could take their kids through it.

If you're finding Unity too hard, I think Game Maker is easier for beginners - but it is a less useful skill to have career-wise. I did do a tutorial for Game Maker but sadly the version I used is not easily available anymore. You can try with whatever version you can get, but there will be differences. One reason this is a Unity tutorial is that GM were not good about keeping old versions available, and at time of writing the new GM has no good free edition, only a trial.    • Make A Game With No Experience

Quick recap of what engine the game's I've worked on used, as there's always confusion about this:
Gunpoint - Game Maker
Floating Point - Unity
Heat Signature - Game Maker
Morphblade - Game Maker
Tactical Breach Wizards - Unity
You can find all those at http://suspicious.dev

For any Unity cops reading, I use Unity Pro Teams Advanced and pay you $125 a month, but I made a second Personal account for this to ensure I don't do anything in this tutorial that free users can't do.
