Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L / Teleconverter 1,4x / AF and FOV

This video might be useful to you, if you are considering getting a Canon 70-300mm L and/or a 1,4x teleconverter.
The tc in this video is a Tamron/Kenko 1,4x. watch:

The video shows the field of view with and without the tc, both on a full frame and a APS-C camera. AF performance under different conditions are also briefly tested.
The Canon tc`s will not fit this lens. The front element of the tc will collide with the rear element of the lens.

I rate the combination in this video to be not very reliable on a 5DmkII.
But it`s usable for non critical work under bright light conditions, and with great contrast in the af points.
The image quality is ok.

I had the Canon 70-200L f4 IS, and in combination with a 1,4 tc the af performance was a lot better.
