Geographically located just outside of the town of New Amsterdam to the north-east in the Canje area. It is also in close proximity to the Berbice River Bridge Road. According to historical records, the residential area was developed on what was once Dutch territory and carried the original name of Ordnance Fort Lands.This a large community that has approximately over 3,000 residents at present.
