What Does the C1259 Hyundai Code Mean?

Electronic Power Steering (EPS) is designed to provide directional control and a smooth feeling to the driver when a driver operates the steering wheel. There is a function to detect the rotation speed and direction of the steering wheel in the Torque Sensor. Rotation speed and direction signals are used for damper, return control, and assist control.
The Steering Angle Sensor error can be set when loss of steering angle due to an internal fault or opening in the ECU internal circuit occurs. If a steering sensor error occurs, the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) Control Module stops the damper and the return control. Therefore, the driver can be uncomfortable due to no return force during U-Turns, and high-speed driving, but there is no problem for driving because basic assist control is still alive.
