MAN A24 Euro 5/Bendy Buses

Series of Buses is back once again with another model 😅

The MAN A24 Euro 5 or also known as the Bendy Bus was introduced to replace both the MK1 Mercedes Benz O405G buses & to introduce as SMRT's 5th generation Bendy Buses.

First introduced in 2012 with SMB 388S, debuting on service Trunk 190,as a trail bus & being the first WAB Bendy Bus & the only one with SMRT'S original livery.SMB 388S is the only Bendy to have the original Grobra EDS(similar to the one on SMB 136C,the Citaro Demo) & have a slightly different Voith engine.Currently SMB 388S still runs on CCK feeders & 190 on certain timings.

In 2015,with the positive feedbacks,SMRT then introduced another 39 MAN A24'S into it's fleet,It had alot of difference like having a different EDS,Livery & an updated version of the Voith engine.Spreading across from KJDEP, WLDEP & AMDEP*.This also came in with the debut of Bendy Buses on service 858!
(AMDEP closed down in Early 2022)

BCM then started to kick in & in 2018,SBS Transit received 10 units from SMRT Buses as part of Selatar Bus Package or SEDEP, marking SBST'S return on Bendy Buses.
In 2021,Tower Transit received the final units from AMDEP & got it's hands on the MAN A24'S for service 858 & sometimes on other possible services.

Currently,the 40 Units is spread across KJDEP, WLDEP,MDDEP & SEDEP,which is common on the Feeders of Yishun, Woodlands,Choa Chu Kang, Services 858,190 & 184.

So if you see them around,do give them a try as there are now rare!
