Sindh Energy Minister Nasir Shah took notice of electricity load-shedding during matric exams in Karachi.

Energy Minister Nasir Shah expressed his indignation over the news of the unconsciousness and condition of female students due to load shedding.

Nasir Shah directed the concerned officials of the Energy Department to talk to K Electric, HESCO and SEPCO and said that all examination centers should be exempted from load shedding.

He said that electricity should be provided uninterruptedly in the examination centers.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif suspended MD and GM Procurement of Pasco for negligence in wheat procurement process.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the demand, supply and purchase program of wheat in which Federal Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister of Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain and other relevant senior government officials participated.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister inquired why a mobile application was not prepared for the process of purchasing wheat. The Prime Minister suspended the Managing Director and General Manager Procurement of PASCO for not following the instructions regarding the use of technology in the wheat procurement process and for being negligent.

The Prime Minister urged the use of technology and development of mobile phone application to make the wheat procurement process clean and transparent, while the Prime Minister also directed to conduct a third party audit of Pasco's stock.

The price of crude oil in the global market has decreased in the last 12 days.

According to sources, crude oil is trading at 82 and a half dollars per barrel.

After the decrease in the global market, a big decrease in the prices of petroleum products is expected in Pakistan from May 16.
According to preliminary estimates, petrol in Pakistan may be cheaper by Rs 14 per litre.

The price of diesel is likely to decrease by Rs 10 per litre.

Sources have also said that the situation regarding the new prices of petroleum products will become clear in the next 2 days.

The federal government has decided to take action against the unauthorized publicists of sensitive and classified information.

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif in a statement on social media platform X said that the federal government has taken notice of the unauthorized publication of sensitive and confidential information, especially the publication of sensitive and confidential information on social media.

The Defense Minister said that cases will be registered against all such persons under the Official Secrets Act 2023 and cases will also be registered against those involved in disclosing or disseminating classified information.

Khawaja Asif said that a case will be registered against those who are directly or indirectly involved, the punishment for this crime will be 2 years imprisonment and fine.
