Round 6 Show: Lamont Roach Jr Interview before 1st title defense vs McCrory

In 2017 Lamont Roach Jr fought in his backyard at the MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland. After winning the fight, Roach Jr vowed to return to the DC one day as a champion and defend that title at home. Fast forward and Lamont Roach Jr is the WBA Super Featherweight Champion. He will indeed defend his title in Washington DC vs the undefeated Feargal McCrory.
Round 6 caught up with the newly crowned champ to talk about his journey in those seven years. Once a highly touted prospect with Golden Boy to now a champion that is a free agent that is putting on his own promotion. Roach Jr shares where he is now and more importantly where he wants to be.
