Erickson was a kind hearted engine and was numbered 3879 and his engineer was a good friend to him but one day in 1947 Erickson had a terrible accident that sealed both him and his engineers fate Erickson was taking a fast freight train to to San Diego but he went down the wrong track and he fell of a unfinished wooden bridge he screamed has he fell to his death and ever since his accident he wanders the tracks looking for anyone to help in need and to warn others to prevent them of the same fate he and his driver mr Arnoldson had.

Erickson considered himself to be a guardian to others who respected him as a hard worker and a strong engine he is always helpful to protect those in need even in death many people were scared of him but he told them he means not harm and he just wanted to protect them from evil spirits and he is still doing that to this day
