I know CSS/HTML now what?
HTML and CSS are the fundamentals of web development. If you don’t know what HTML and CSS are, think of them as parts of a house, were HTML is the foundation and walls, and CSS is the paint and all the decorations.

Most people will tell you that you can’t get a job with these basic skills but I think there are 4 great jobs that you can get started with, including building personal websites for people.

All of the jobs I mention in the video will give you exposure to the web development environment and you will start seeing code on a larger scale. However, with just these HTML/CSS skills most people will not consider you a web developer. So now what?

If you want to become a web developer, be it closer to web-designer, a front-end developer, a back-end web developer or DevOps, the next step is definitely to learn a little javascript.

If javascript were part of the house analogy, javascript would be the electricity. When you flip a switch, the lights come on! Javascript makes web sites interactive.

Now you can call yourself a web-developer.
