Mangalorean style Alsande chi sukki bhaji | Yard Long beans - Vegetarian

This is traditional and a simple Mangalorean style long beans and coconut stir fry recipe. It is one of the easiest dishes to prepare and goes well as a side dish with any Indian meal. This is a dry vegetable  goes well with roties as well as rice. It is easy as well as a healthy dish to make. I usually prefer to serve this with some steamed rice and fish curry.

Long beans are also known as chawli, or yard-long beans and alsande in  Konkani my mother tongue. This yard Long Beans/ Alsande, is a very nutritious vegetable having the lowest amount of calories and the highest amount of soluble and insoluble fibres making it a perfect food for weight watchers.

This long beans vegetable is very simple and requires very minimal ingredients. The spices used in this recipe are very basic and found in every Indian household pantry.
