How to Clean Your Citizen CL-S621 Printer Head | Thermal Number Plate Printer | Tennants UK |

This video guide will demonstrate how to clean the head of your Citizen CL-S621 number plate printer and how to maintain your thermal number plate printing systems.

We recommend you use the Citizen Head Cleaning Pen provided with your printer. You can however use Alcohol Wipes or Medical Swabs.

Just follow these very simple steps...


1. Lift the main compartment by pinching the groove.

2. Push large blue-head open lever.

3. Carefully lift the head without touching the ribbon.

4. Grasp the Blue Ribbon Holder closest to you.

5. Swing the ribbon towards you at 270 Degrees.

6. Place down inside of your printer with the handle facing up.

7. Wipe down the mechanism (the exposed area looks green)

8. Swing the ribbon clockwise back round to its original position.

9. Twist the blue ribbon handle clockwise until the ribbon is taut

10. Push the head mechanism back down until it clicks.

11. Close Head Cover.
