Tested KOVE 450 Rally on My Typical Training Lap at 333 Rigas Mezi Enduro Trail

Had the pleasure to take out KOVE 450 Rally on a 2 hour long test ride. Rode city streets, highway as well as trails, crossed a few logs and tried out the acceleration and braking capability on the road.

This is the raw footage of me going reasonably "all-out" on a test bike that I have to get back to the dealership in an hour :) Take note that I've ridden this bike only for an hour before, it has not been set up for me (apart from adjustment of clutch/brake levers), its equipped with stock tires that are say 50/50 or 40/60 (street/dirt) tires.

Excuse the loud wind noise, please. It seems that the windshield somehow created some turbulence or something around my helmet and caused it to be quite loud.

I'm actually quite impressed with the performance of the bike on this an off-road course. I'm pretty sure the SAG was not set for my weight (being way too small, aka too much preload), which contributed slightly to occasional snappy response of the rear, but all in all I'd say that suspension stock setup was quite impressive, definitely not noticeably worse than on my MY23 Husqvarna TE300 (fork most likely better). So, with regards to suspension, I'd say that this bike needs spring for rider weight and at the most individual re-valve to get any rider happy, that's it!

For this type of riding there was certainly enough power to get around. The weight distribution is quite nice and even though the chassis is quite high (this is was the standard version, not the "low"), the bike felt really light in corners. To be honest, it didn't feel much heavier than my Husky.

The bike was weighted with topped up fuel tanks and it showed 173kg on the scales, that is with the declared ~30 liters of fuel, which equate to ~23kg of weight. This means that the declared "curb weight" of 145kg is actually "dry weight".

In this test rear fuel tank was completely empty whilst front ones where half-full, meaning, the actual weight of the bike was ~155kg.

Be sure to subscribe and wait for another video to come out with more on my thoughts about the bike!
