Hello everybody,

these days are really busy for me and i am suffering quite bit from not being able to really join #jamuary
Still i managed to work on an idea i had last week. I had a specific drum sound in mind and „beatboxed“ a groove into my phone while riding my bike back home from work.
Every time when i had a moment of free time I opened Ableton and fiddled around with the sound. So this is not exactly a jam but a sound showcase (not a finished track, if that makes any sense) It’s pretty basic, but i quite like it.
The Kick is a 909 Sample through 3 instances of Dials, that makes it „sing“.
The Hats are edited tape noise from last years #jamuary2024
The distorted drums are stock samples through Arguments and Dials. Arguments is only used to distort, not for mixing two signals
The reverbant noise in the beginning and throughout is actually a happy little accident. I wanted to test some Plugins while waiting in the car, so I used the internal mic from the laptop and accidentally scratched over it. That sounded already perfect. Puremagnetik’s Fathoms and Later are doing the magic.
To top it off with at least some tonality I threw in a modulated high note from Noises enhanced with some ThingsTexture

The video is filmed on my daily route home from work. I went a bit bananas in editing, maybe that was the real jam :-)
