PART 12(C): MIGRATORY INSERTION REACTIONS IN ORGANOMETALLIC COMPOUNDS FOR CSIR NET/GATE/IIT JAM

Описание к видео PART 12(C): MIGRATORY INSERTION REACTIONS IN ORGANOMETALLIC COMPOUNDS FOR CSIR NET/GATE/IIT JAM

At time 1:15:15, in problem second csir net 2015/18, I have wrongly attached CO with carbon, plz attach CO to Fe2+ to get the correct answer ie. option (b).
An insertion reaction involves the formal insertion of one ligand (usually unsaturated) into another metal-ligand bond on the same complex. The net result is a decrease in the coordination number by one, along with the formation of a new bond. The reverse of this reaction is generally called a deinsertion. When the deinserting group is an olefin, this has the special name of beta-hydride elimination.
