This is what Tropical Acres Farms says about the Choquette Avocado

Choquette is an A-type flower West Indian-Guatemalan hybrid that was planted by Remi D. Choquette of Miami, FL in January of 1929.

The tree first fruited in 1934 and later became recognized for its outstanding production and eating quality, accompanied by a late season; Choquette fruit matures from December to February here.

It is now one of the most widely grown avocados commercially in Dade county.

The fruit is large, elliptically shaped and light green in color with a somewhat bumpy skin.

Though Choquette trees have a reputation for alternate bearing, we have not had this issue with it.

The flavor and texture of the fruit is very nice, and it makes a good tree for backyard growers too.

Race: West Indian-Guatemalan hybrid

Flower type: A
