During a 30-minute interview in the Netherlands on Tuesday, Indian EAM S. Jaishankar addressed concerns and misunderstandings regarding the ongoing ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan following the launch of Operation Sindooor on 7 May.

In this clip, the EAM explains how the ceasefire came about, the role other countries played, whether India wants US President Donald Trump to help resolve the Kashmir issue with Pakistan, and how Europe is only now waking up to and experiencing some of the hard economic and security realities India has had to deal with since independence.

Jaishankar paid an official visit to the Netherlands from 19-20 May, as part of a larger trip, including Denmark and Germany, which will come to end on 24 May. During the visit, he is set to meet the leadership of the three countries and hold discussions with his counterparts on the entire gamut of bilateral relations and regional and global matters of mutual interest.
