Riot Forge has had great success expanding the League of Legends universe so far, creating far more interesting and immersive experiences with Runeterra's vast roster of champions than League of Legends itself is remotely capable of.

But they had to have a miss at some point. CONV/RGENCE: A League of Legends story is burdened by its own subtitle, struggling to make something meaningful while the League of Legends cameos and universe hang on to it awkwardly, getting in its way and making it stumble.

It's a very strange problem for a game directly overseen by Riot Games themselves to have. Let's talk about it.
