More and more data drives the need for greater efficiency. Dylan suggests that efficiency is a measure of both performance and power consumption, and managing the flood of data that is arriving in the datacenter while preserving the agility and flexibility to react to changing business conditions. We review the Intel 'tick-tock' cycle and discuss how Intel struggles to keep a business driven focus instead of responding to purely technology drivers.
