Supreme Court Decision on Aligarh Muslim University LIVE: सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पलट दिया ऐतिहासिक फैसला

The Bench, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud started reading the court's decision which is set to resolve the long-standing debate over whether AMU, established in 1920, qualifies as a minority institution under the Indian Constitution or not.

Speaking during the verdict, Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said there were four separate opinions, including three dissenting verdicts. While the CJI said he had written the majority verdict for himself and Justices Sanjiv Khanna, JB Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra, Justices Surya Kant, Dipankar Datta, and Satish Chandra Sharma have written their separate dissenting views.

मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी.वाई. चंद्रचूड़ की अगुवाई वाली पीठ ने अदालत के फ़ैसले को पढ़ना शुरू किया, जो इस बात पर लंबे समय से चली आ रही बहस को हल करने के लिए तैयार है कि 1920 में स्थापित एएमयू भारतीय संविधान के तहत अल्पसंख्यक संस्थान के रूप में योग्य है या नहीं। फ़ैसले के दौरान बोलते हुए मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी.वाई. चंद्रचूड़ ने कहा कि चार अलग-अलग राय थीं, जिनमें तीन असहमति वाले फ़ैसले शामिल थे। जबकि सीजेआई ने कहा कि उन्होंने अपने और जस्टिस संजीव खन्ना, जे.बी. पारदीवाला और मनोज मिश्रा के लिए बहुमत का फ़ैसला लिखा है, जस्टिस सूर्यकांत, दीपांकर दत्ता और सतीश चंद्र शर्मा ने अपने अलग-अलग असहमति वाले विचार लिखे हैं।
