Jaco Pastorius Band: Live at Pori Jazz Festival (1983) [Pro-Shot Video]

40 years ago on this day Jaco Pastorius and the Word of Mouth Band played at Pori Jazz Festival in Pori, Finland.

This footage offers a rare glimpse into the Word of Mouth Band at their very best. Starting presumably midway through the set, the video begins with performances of Jaco's signature bass solos Slang and Amerika, followed by a set of tour staples: Fannie Mae, Kenwood Dennard's drum solo and Teen Town. If you pay close attention, you might even catch a Beaver Patrol tease near the end of Kenwood's solo.

The poor definition of this footage has made it the most challenging remastering job to date and I hope the results are good enough to make the experience at least a little more enjoyable. Enjoy!
