His Eminence the 8th Chökyong @palgarinpoche was recognized at the age of 1 & enthroned at the age of 8 by His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa at Hemis monastery in Ladakh. His Eminence went to Canada to learn about western life, as well as to various European countries such as Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden to teach Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and to gain life experience. He intends to build old age homes to care for the elderly, orphanages for disadvantaged children, hospitals to cure the sick, rehab center to help the addicts, mass plantations to promote greenery and eco-friendly living, the animal sanctuary to care about sick and injured animals, retreat centers to teach solitary meditations in English, Hindi, Ladakhi, and Tibetan for people of all age, sex, region, without any discrimination. His Eminence the 8th Chökyong Palga Rinpoche was recognized at the age of 1 & enthroned at the age of 8 by His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa at Hemis monastery in Ladakh.

At a very young age, he was beaten up by a tutor almost daily due to the harsh monastic training system and suffered depression, anxiety, loneliness, low self-esteem, and low self- confidence for years. His Eminence has also traveled to Canada to learn about western life, as well as to various European countries such as Greece, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden to teach Buddhist philosophy and meditation, and to gain life experience. Currently, he is building a huge spiritual center called ‘Naljorling’ (Land of Enlightenment Seekers) to teach about self-fulfillment, true happiness, inner peace, he intends to build old age homes to care for the elderly, orphanages for disadvantaged children, hospitals to cure the sick, rehab center to help the addicts, mass plantations to promote greenery.
