Most Beautiful Mountain Railway in Switzerland |Brienz Rothorn Bahn | Steam Train and Epic Views 🇵🇭

We visited Brienzer Rothorn, the highest mountain of the Alps in Switzerland via an outrageously scenic ride on the Brienz Rothorn steam train starting from the lakeside village of Brienz.

The journey to Brienzer Rothorn starts in the beautiful town of Brienz on the shores of Lake Brienz, the train is a fun experience and a great way to enjoy the landscape. There is a brief stop at the midway station at Planalp, where the locomotive refills its tank with water for the rest of the journey. As you continue your journey, you will enjoy an incredible panorama of the surrounding mountains and turquoise coloured Lake Brienz. Once you reach the summit, the Berghaus awaits with Swiss specialities and overnight accommodation. The panoramic view from the summit is unforgettable.

The Brienz Rothorn Railaway is operational from June to October.
There are plenty of things to do in and around the railway and the Brienzer Rothorn.
