How to Make a Macrame Bell Wreath Ornament

Gather your materials: You'll need a wooden ring (various sizes are available), macrame cord (3mm or 5mm braided cord are common), a small bell, ribbon for a bow, scissors, hot glue, and potentially other decorative elements like wooden fir trees or berries.

Prepare the cord: Cut your macrame cord to the required lengths.

Attach the cords to the ring: Fold the cord in half and place the center point behind the ring. Pull the folded ends through the loop to secure the cord to the ring with a Lark's Head knot, which is the technique used for wrapping and knotting around the ring.

Knot the cords around the ring: Begin making your chosen macrame knot consistently around the entire ring. You can use a variety of knots to create your design.

Finish the knotting: Once the ring is completely covered, tie the ends of the cords together in a tight knot, or use glue to secure them for a cleaner finish. You can trim the excess cord or use it to create a hanger.
