Friday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Heat, humidity & storm chances today in Northeast Ohio

Cleveland weather forecast for Friday, July 12, 2024.

After some rare July comfortable air the last 24 hours, we'll return to that heat and humidity over the next five days or so. Today will feature sunshine with a few passing clouds, but with some daytime heating we also run the risk of a pop-up downpour. Today's highs will push the mid 80s with most areas staying dry.

Tonight will feature a few clouds with a lingering shower chance, otherwise you'll feel a bit more muggy with lows in the upper 60s.

In terms of the upcoming weekend, we'll have a similar weather pattern Saturday with sunshine and a stray shower chance. Highs will be pushing the upper 80s. By Sunday, we'll begin to get into a new pattern as a large dome of heat moves out into the central U.S. Around this dome of heat will be large complexes of storms that rotate around the outer periphery of that heat. This will place us in the "tracks" so to speak of these storms. So beginning Sunday through at least Wednesday of next week, we'll have heat, humidity and storm chances daily with highs in and around 90.

SATURDAY: Hot and mainly sunny. Very small chance for a stray pop-up. Upper 80s.

SUNDAY: Increasing cloudiness with a storm chance. Upper 80s.
