Boker Applegate-Fairbairn A-F 4.5 Dagger completed. I am not happy!

Aug 2023. It took me almost 8 hours to get the bevel geometry from close to 30 degrees down to 21 degrees at the ricasso and almost 17 degrees at the tip and I used both a 50 grit (beast) and a 100 grit KME diamond stone for the stock removal. And that was just to get a bur.

Then you can add 5 min per edge and per side / per stone all the way down to the diamond lapping films. That was 6 stones all the way down to 3 micron and 6 diamond lapping films all the way down to 0.1 micron and then another 5 min per edge stropping with Ken Schwartz 0.1 Cubic Boron Nitride.
Do the math! Boker need to talk to their QC people as I was not impressed and this is the first and LAST Boker I will ever buy!

It is perfect now I have put my custom bevel geometry on but I expect a knife from new at the factory to be able to cut things ... and that factory edge was 18 micron FFS! I have seen sharper butter knives ...
