Click/Ratchet Tension Assembly
1. Washer has a small bump for contact with teeth on tension nut; clicks when being adjusted. Other types of tension nuts do not have a separate washer, instead they have an attached washer that smooth and does not click when turned.
2. Tension nut has teeth for contact with bump on washer for securing tension setting. Not all tension nuts have teeth; some have a built in washer and feel smooth when adjusted.
3. The small washer provides the give and take when adjusting the tension. DO NOT LOSE IT. Without the nylon washer your scissor can not be adjusted. Should you lose it contact the scissors manufacturer or your scissors provider.
