Growing Hollyhocks - From Seed to Flower - SingleSeedChallenge2022 Recap!

Today, I’m going way back and doing a recap of my #singleseedchallenge2022 (Spoiler - It was a major success!).

I chose a hollyhock for my challenge – a flower that I had not only never grown from seed before, but I had never even had one in my garden so it was an all around hollyhock new-to-me experience. I had SO much fun!

A huge thank you to Scott Head at Black Gumbo Southern Gardening -    / @scotthead   - for starting this challenge a few years ago and keeping it going….I’m not sure I would have had the courage to get that 1st video out had it not been for his words of encouragement.

Where do I garden?? In Southern Ontario, zone 5b! And because zones don’t always tell the full story, my last frost date is May 10th & first frost date is Oct. 3rd.
