BRAND NEW | Season 2: Episode 4_EXTENDED | Family & Friends of Zaida Breda Van Der Schyff | The Cape Malay “Jawwap” a division of SKYLIMIT ProjMan (PTY) Ltd “Because Little Things Matter”
As an element of the human condition, we will experience loss regardless of our status or background. But, what happens when that loss is a limb or two, or a baby, or two …all in a short space of time?
How & where do we start our journey back to living life? In our previous heart-wrenching story, Zaida Breda Van Der Schyff shares her heartbreak and emotional experiences that have occurred in her life. And what it takes to get back up, to help others so they may rise to see the beauty in life one again!
Zaida brings awareness around amputation and infant loss.
Life didn’t come with a manual, it came with fighters and survivors, legends and conquerors who have taught us about mental strength and physical health, so we can learn despite our circumstances to reach our greatest potential.
This extended video clip has been compiled by the friends and family of Zaida and is dedicated to all those who have smiled in the day and have cried at night, we are here to honour your courage and braveness. There is no better way to live, than in a state of gratitude and this, we can celebrate!

Zaida lives in Tafelsig, Mitchell’s plain and enjoys her food catering business. She continues to challenge herself, refusing to let anything define who she really is, to do things for herself, and to ‘stand on her own two feet’.

The raw and untold stories depicted here were inspired by our Galant and Diedericks Families, formerly from Claremont and District Six in Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA;
by our self-published and best seller book: Imam Haron’s BILAL ”Let them hear, let them listen!” (where we have encapsulated our father's memories of the 1960s, Hajji Abduraghmaan 'Pinkie' Galant, a student of the Anti-apartheid icon, the late Imam Abdullah Haron who was incarcerated for 123 days without charge and in isolation, he was brutally tortured and killed in September of 1969, written in true Cape Malay style, by Fatima Galant Abrahams, with supporting footnotes and a glossary to better explain to the reader);
as well as by our Madrassatu-Sobiereen,
our Pinkie’s CHOW Community Food Drives, our rich culture, history, and traditions preserved by our forefathers.
Despite everything they have gone through in the past, a joyous spirit remains.
