In February 2013, the University of Liverpool celebrated the reopening it's community sports facility after a £5 million investment .

The original pool and sports centre first opened in 1966 and remains a superb facility that is open to members of the public as well as University students and staff.

The facility now boasts a new state-of-the-art gym, a pool, 2 sports halls, 4 squash courts, a new bouldering wall and a Sports Cafe.
