Some connected devices may play a crucial role in a criminal case, as they may be used as or contain digital evidences (photos, videos, messages, etc.), or abused to stealthily commit crimes. Investigations are often difficult to perform because of the growing number of different technologies, and it will be harder and harder as years go by. This talk will summarize the methodologies and tools a forensic investigator should use, the various problems he/she would face and introduce some new tools we have created to ease this task: a collaborative platform listing every connected device and their characteristics as well as dedicated tools to gather information and analyze these devices.
