How to Install a Fish Finder Transducer Inside a Kayak - In-Hull Installation Guide

In this video I show you how to install a fish finder transducer inside the hull of a kayak using a custom transducer pad made from high-density foam filled with an adhesive. This method of transducer installation allows the sonar to shoot through the hull with excellent results and works with traditional Broadband Sonar, CHIRP sonar and Downscan Imaging transducers.

This method is a great option if you do not have a transducer scupper hole moulded into your kayak and you do not want to use a transducer arm over the side of the kayak. In-Hull transducer installation can be used with plastic and fibreglass kayaks. You will require a Waterproof Cable Seal to route the wiring from the inside of the kayak to the outside where the fish finder will be mounted.
