Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2018 by Narender Singh Sandhu

Shri Hemkund Sahib is the prominent pilgrimage site of the Sikhs and is situated on the banks of the Lake. This place holds religious significance as Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhs mediated here for years. Before going inside the Shrine, the pilgrim takes a dip in the holy water of the lake. Which is situated nearby? The lake water is very cold and there separate Chambers for men and women where they can take a holy dip. Inside the Gurudwara, devotees are given tea and khochri along with the Karah Parshad Which flour and ghee. The Karah Parshad is given to the devotees after the assembly. The Gurudwara was built in the year 1934, when Major General Harkirat Singh the Chief Engineer of the Indian Army visited the place later Architect Sail looked after the construction of the Gurudwara.
