French Pass & Elaine Bay | Exploring Pelorus Sounds

Pelorus Sounds is an absolute paradise. It was one of the first places to go on our 'Must Visit while in the South Island' list. We left Nelson, wound our way through the narrow roads, and set up base at the Elaine Bay DOC camp. The camp is right on the water's edge, with stunning sunrises and cheeky weka.

French pass is about a 45min drive away so we unhitched the RV and took a day trip up there to see what all the fuss is about. It's quite possibly one of the most beautiful, scenic drives in New Zealand.
