Back again to the Aberdare Ranges and this time i did another Traverse being 7 Ponds to Table Mountain Kenya Traverse.

The Hiking trail starts at Mikeu, taking you through an initial trek going uphill.
The Seven Ponds hike in the Aberdares is known for its steep trail and breathtaking views of the surrounding slopes and peaks such as Mt.Kipipiri.

The Seven Ponds are Located conveniently between the notoriously steep Table Mountain and Rurimeria trails.Once at the top the trail delivers a breathtaking trek across the golden moorland leading to the seven ponds.
Seven Ponds ASL is 3760 M while Table Mountain is 3791 M.

The Table Mountain in Kenya is named Table Mountain as it is flat at the top as viewed from 7 Ponds side thus resembling the top of a Table.
Once one has summitted Table mountain the descent includes a treacherous trek through water bogs as the vegetation changes and it gets a bit dry.
When descending there are great views of other Aberdare peaks such as Mt. Kipipiri,Elephant Hill and Kinangop too from a distance .
Once done descending one will take a plunge down to a river crossing before ascending and coming upto the Electric Fence where the trail is next to it and eventually exiting the forest.

All in all, this was a fantastic hike and the experience great too.
The weather was favorable, very foggy at the beginning, at some point when descending we thought It would pour so hard but the clouds held up and only drizzled briefly at our final descent to the river crossing.
