In my channel Ashalatha Kothapalli @biologyintelugu Iam adding a video on plant tissue culture in Telugu for class10 and 10+.

To supply food to all we need new technologies to grow crops and their yields. Tissue culture is the one by which we are producing varieties in less period.
Totipotency is the special character of a plant cell in which a cell can develop into a complete plant in some conditions. Any part of the plant cell can be taken for tissue culture. It is called explant. Explant can culture in a nutrient medium. There were so many scientists who had done experiments on tissue culture. G. Haberlandt was the father of tissue culture. Murashige and Skoog prepared the nutrient medium which was accepted by all.

Techniques for tissue culture are Organogenesis and Somatic embryogenesis.

We need an aseptic place and apparatus for creating tissue culture. Light , humidity, and temperature should be maintained.

There are steps to follow for tissue culture how to collect explant , washing the explant cells with distilled water or alcohol or Sodium hypochlorite, inoculate it in the medium, maintaining hormones ratio for the initiation of root or stem or callus acclimatization of plantlets for a suitable atmosphere.

Nutrient medium composes inorganic, organic compounds,Sucrose , harmony’s like auxin and cytokinin, anti bacterial, antifungal agents and gelling agent to solidify the medium. Ph should be maintained between 5.8-6.0.

There are four types of tissue culture. organ culture, callus culture, cell suspension culture and protoplast culture.

There are so many applications of tissue culture for improving crop varieties, horticulture and forestry. We can preserve the synthetic seeds of endangered species.

The role of phytohormones in tissue is the key for tissue culture.
