32 years ago today, the five-man boy band appeared on Shadoe's first ever time at the helm of AT40 after Casey Kasem left. New Kids entered the charts at #37 with "Please Don't Go Girl" and took it up to #10 eight weeks later. What followed was EIGHT CONSECUTIVE TOP 10 hits, with three going all the way to the top: "I'll Be Loving You (Forever)" and "Hangin' Tough" in 1989. and "Step By Step" in 1990. They managed one more Top 40 appearance in 1991 and again in 2008 with "Summertime" (#36).
