Awesome hike up to the Black Lake in Glacier Gorge, Rocky Mountain National Park. We hiked this on August 13, 2022. We started at the Bear Lake parking lot since the Glacier Gorge lot was full. We arrived at the Bear Lake parking lot at 6am and hiked towards Alberta Falls. After passing Albert Falls we went around the south side of Glacier Knobs and towards Mills Lake. We followed the trail south all the way up to the Black Lake. From there, we were a little bit further up to the upper glacier gorge. We wanted to try and get to Blue Lake but decided to turn around about 7 miles in knowing we had a long hike back to the parking lot.
