Urmia's Lake over 98% of the water has vanished, leaving behind a silent expanse that echoes the absence of the bustling activity from two decades ago, it is one of the biggest megaprojects in Iran.
Lake Urmia is a remarkable Salt Lake located in the northwest of Iran, spanning the provinces of East Azerbaijan and West Azerbaijan. It was once the largest lake in Iran and the second-largest Salt Lake in the world.

But despite all this importance and greatness, why can't anyone solve the problem of the drying up of this vast lake?
