In our body, we have seven major energy centers known as chakras and they are like a wheel spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion. In this guided meditation, we will be using visualizing and intention techniques that help us to cleanse, harmonize, and balance our chakra healing centers.

Charkra and Aura cleansing meditation guide:

1. Find a quiet place to undertake your meditation practice. Turn off your mobile phone and other devices.

2. Place yourself in a lotus (crossed leg) or half lotus position. Meditating in a lying down position is possible. Be comfortable and relaxed but remain attentive and alert.

3. Take a deep inhalation through your nose, and gently allow the exhalation to leave your mouth. Repeat the inhalation and exhalation a couple of more times before we begin the visualization element of this meditation practice.

4. Now visualize a ball of energy, that is bright white. The ball of white light hovers just above your head, a couple of inches away from your Crown chakra (Sanskrit Sahasrara Chakra). The Chakra is related to higher consciousness and connection to the cosmic source. It is said that our higher consciousness can be cultivated so that we can access cosmic consciousness let go of earthly desires and wishes and place the ego in its rightful position, behind us.

5. Allow the ball of white light to enter the Crown chakra, and the ball of light clears away stagnant and blocked energy. The ball of light clenses, harmonizes and brings balance to the Chakra. Continue to breathe in your own rhythm.

6. The white ball of energy leaves the Crown Chakra above and begins to travel southwards in front of your body until it stops in front of your Third eye Chakra, located between the eyebrows. The Third eye Chakra is known as Ajna Chakra which loosely means in Sanskrit, Command or monitoring centre. It is also widely known as your 'inner Guru'. The Third eye Chakra helps us to perceive, sometimes beyond the sight senses, which eventually allows us to act responsibly. Qualities related to this Chakra center are intuition, watchfulness, and curiosity. The ball radiates its white light and clears the Thirdeye Chakra blockages.

7. Allow the white ball of light to exit your Thirdeye Chakra and the beautiful ball of light travels Southwards until it arrives in front of your Throat Chakra (Vishuddha Chakra). Allow the beautiful ball of energy to enter your Throat Chakra. This energy center is related to communication, expression, and manifesting abilities. Visualize the ball entering the Throat space, radiating beautiful energy, clearing and balancing this Chakra. Continue to breathe in your own rhythm.

8. The ball leaves your Throat Chakra and travels down the front of the body until it arrives in the front of your Heart Chakra located at the lower center of the chest. (Sanskrit Anahata Chakra). Allow the ball to enter your Anahata Chakra. Anahata is associated with pure love and the divine and human meet here. Love, not for yourself but for all other beings and without judgments of whether the receiver of love is deserving or not. It is unconditional and freely given with openness and a smile. Humility and eliminating self love which is ego-centred, are the hallmarks of this Chakra. Allow the ball of energy to cleanse, harmonize, and balance Anahata.
