A-Team's agenda is to send a message towards young adults including girls to obtain self-love and acceptance. Current society tends to affect teenage girls to have unnecessary insecurities about their appearances, have an unconscious judgment towards others, and result in having higher expectations towards individuals that may possibly ingrain in their mindsets. The members of A-team noticed that their surroundings including people around their age easily become vulnerable to influences, such as media, stereotypes, and peer pressure, which is the reason as to why A-Team wishes to spread this message. A-Team will visualize the reality of what mental pressure is like, and the reason why becoming a strong, resilient, and beautiful human being is not irrelevant. Starting with the well-known quote, “Beauty is Pain'', the video will show the various factors that affect adolescents’ confidence, statistics and facts that indicate the reality, and our opinion on this issue. Every reflection of the girl whether it is a mirror or an editable camera app, represents the high expectations individuals have on themselves, and makeup is used as a tool misunderstood to use as an “essential”. Visual reenactments and scenes based on our personal experiences will also be included, by effectively utilizing elements of mise-en-scene including facial expressions, lighting, and aesthetic camera work. This project will be submitted to the upcoming PIE Event by the JALT group that will be held this year, in Sept.
