The Executive, or to give it it's full name, The Executive - A Movie Industry Tycoon, is a game where we try to build a movie studio in Hollywood to create some amazing blockbusters!

We begin back in the 1980's with a little studio and a gigantic pile of cash, which is nice. Soon enough we make our very first movie, a robot action thriller, and as the movie design process goes on we have to control various bits and bobs.

Firstly we have to choose a director and a lead actor from a list of names that look strangely familiar... Then we have some sliders to help us control how much effort we want to put into things like the script, costume design and editing.

Once we've chosen a distributor and sorted out any last minute things we release our movie!

And this is pretty much how the game continues. We release movies and each time we can glean some insights to help us with the next. We can also hire staff to help us predict future trends, we unlock new themes and technologies and we level people up, plus there's the possibility that we can upgrade our pokey office to a bigger better one...

OPTIMIZE YOUR DISTRIBUTION
Once your movie is ready, it's time to decide how to distribute it. You can do it yourself, find a partner, or sell the rights to the highest bidder. Each option has different risks and rewards, so choose wisely based on your finances and popularity. And don't forget to watch out for competition and pick the best release date.

GROW YOUR STUDIO
The more money and popularity you gain, the more you can invest towards building a top-notch team and attracting prestigious actors. Move to larger offices, hire talented employees, train them, and research new capabilities.
