Dr Lisa Ackerley is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner who has worked in local and central government, academia, and for 30 years as an independent consultant providing advice and support to food industry sectors and the mass media on food safety issues for businesses and consumer hygiene.

Lisa worked for many years as the food safety adviser for UK Hospitality when the represented the organisation at the Food Standards Agency Expert Advisory Group on Regulating our Future, industry liaison groups, FSA-led workshops and also on the Safe and Local Supplier Approval (SALSA) board. She provided media advice and comment during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and with Sterling Crew, her business partner in Kitchen Conversation, created and attended the CIEH Covid Conversations Panel, often joined by over 1000 delegates virtually.

She joined Reckitt in 2021 where she works on internal and external scientific engagement across the company, including working on B2B projects and hygiene partnerships such as COP26 and the Commonwealth Games. She has recently given evidence at the Cleaning Industry All Party Parliamentary Group on how the Targeted Hygiene framework can be used to build health resilience.
