Combining the smeltery from TC with the automation from AE2. More info below!

I always liked the manual work in Tinkers Construct, the feeling of "making" so to say. That includes both building tools and smelting/casting things. But after some time it gets repetitive handling the smeltery, automating parts makes it fun again! I don't know how useful this build is, but it's a fun build :)

The key to this build is to only activate the top Import Bus when you really have to. From AE2, the only tool you have at hand is a Level Emitter but on the positive side you can use it with pipes/ducts from other mods. In my first version of this build I used Fluiducts and activated them with Redstone, so there are probably simple ways to make this in your world.

ALSO: You just as well use a Redstone Card in the top Import bus and totally skip the Toggle Bus. I should have mentioned that in the video but I completely forgot. The result is equal and the difference is only the cost of resources (and like 1 AE/t in power drain per Import Bus). I actually didn't compare as I'm so used to work in Creative so I tend to forget that part... If you look carefully on the thumbnail, I had this setup on one side so you can maybe see how it looks!

Thinking about it, you could have two Level Emitters for each Import Bus (one at the top as well), which means you can actually have TWO recipes per drain, as the Import Bus can get a Capacity Card and have two molten metals filtered. As long as they are not alloys and one of the ingredients :)

If you don't know how to fill a bucket (to filter the Import Bus) I suggest watching this video:
   • Tinker's Construct Quick Tip: Filling...

The drawback of this build is that you can't really do several jobs at the same time, this is no difference from normal Smeltery work but if you include different Ingots in automated recipes there's a risk of them getting ordered at the same time. If you would order, say Tin Ingots. And then at the same time order Bronze (Copper + Tin), both Level Emitters will be turned on and will probably suck out all Tin before the Bronze is finished and you're left with Molten Copper and the Bronze would not finish.

I was looking at some other alloys from other mods as well, such as Signalum, where you need Molten (Destabalized) Redstone. However, not everything can be smelted in the Smeltery. Redstone can (in this pack) only be smelted in Magma Crucible, and if you have those machines (from Thermal Expansion) you might as well make the alloying in the MC instead of in a smeltery.
