Alienoid (2022) - Korean Movie Review

Erik, the Asian Movie Enthusiast presents:

A review of “Alienoid”, a Korean science fiction action movie from 2022. It stars Ryoo Joon-yeol, Kim Woo-bin, Kim Tae-ri, Yum Jung-ah and So Ji-sub.

The opening narration says this, “For ages, aliens locked up their prisoners in humans’ bodies. But humans were not aware of this. Sometimes, prisoners escaped the human bodies. They called these acts “breakouts.” The story takes place in multiple time periods, primarily the modern day and the 1300s. It revolves around a handful of characters, one of which is an alien (in human form) who monitors and catches other aliens who attempt to “breakout” of their human bodies. There’s also a little human girl who the alien adopted after a prior “breakout” event. In a nutshell, we see how these “breakout” events impact a handful of characters from both time periods.

This is a neat movie with a mix of elements you’re not gonna see very often.
