14th Annual JConcepts Winter Indoor Shootout & Invitational Independent 17.5 2wd Buggy A Main

This 2024 event ran from December 6th through the 8th at Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, MO. This event is two races in one.

One is an invitational race of 18 drivers competing in Mod 2wd & 4wd Buggy in a 'Reedy Race' format. On Saturday the drivers would run 5 rounds of 2wd & only their top 4 finishes counted. On Sunday they ran another 5 rounds of 4wd. Each heat had a heads up start & a random drawing determined the starting position for all cars. After the best 8 rounds were combined (4 from 2wd & 4 from 4wd) the driver with the lowest score would be the overall champion.

Simultaneously the Shootout race was also happening all weekend long. There was 11 classes to compete in with single 8 minute A Mains on Sunday. The top 8 drivers were locked into the A Main based on qualifying results & 2 drivers would bump into the A Main from the lower mains for a total of 10 cars.

The Invitational class offered a $1000 purse paying $500 to win, $250 for 2nd, $125 for 3rd, $75 for 4th and $50 for 5th. The Shootout provided awards for the top 5 finishers + TQ.
